Are the flying conditions reported suitable for UAVs?

Yes, the app is suitable for all types of UAVs, not just drones. Note, you can customise the thresholds for the flying conditions in the settings page.

Will Dronecast always be a free service?

Dronecast is completely free for now. However, it costs us money to collect the weather data, so we may introduce a pricing plan in the future.

Which features are on the roadmap?

Keep in mind that the application is currently in beta, so once we have added more features we may introduce a pricing plan.

Our plan once it’s ready is to have a free version but with a limited feature set. A small fee will be charged to access the full version.

Where do you source the weather data?

The weather data and forecast is provided by Dark Sky.
